Writing From the Middle

Greetings Writers,
I'm writing this post to get familiar with the site and because I really enjoyed the information inside the pages of Writing From the Middle.What makes an author able to strike that nerve with her readers? Is it the theme that's been threaded through the stories pages from beginning to end? Or the ability to capture the characters arch? Or is it hitting each and every plot point at the right moment. Each successful author has their opinions.
In the past year I've started reading the 'How to...' books since getting serious about wanting to write a book. I'm finding that I appreciate the shorter books that get straight to a point, demonstrate or show examples, and walk you through the process. Writing From the Middle did just that and even provided some writing tips as a bonus.
If your free time is valuable, you want to learn about story structure, and you want to get back to writing, then I'd suggest to give this a try.

P.S. I got the book as a free download from several authors promoting their blog sites. I wanted to see how James Bell practice what he preached so purchased one of his short stories.
